Happy Halloween
Tonight we had our Hallowe'en Party and as expected it was great fun. All the boys looked great in their various outfits, from spiderman and superman to a pumpkin, a wizard, a ghostly pirate, four draculas, three skeletons and even an American Wrestler. The only problem was - we kept finding dracula's teeth all over the place afterwards!!!
Not to be left out the Leaders also dressed up - Anne (N) as a Big Indian Chief and Anne (Q) as a little devil. Alexandra and Allan joined in the fun as a Hippie and the Karate Kid. The costumes were all so good it made it really difficult for the janitor to choose the winners. He eventually plumped for spiderman and the ghostly pirate, but he said they were all fantastic.
The games were lovely and messy, and we discovered most of the boys aren't very keen on treacle - well especially not when it lands all over their face when they are trying to bite the hanging donuts that are covered in the stuff. That is with the exception of our little wizard - he seemed to love the taste and kept running back for more. Even when he kept moving closer and ended up with all the sticky newspapers stuck to his shoes!
They all seemed a bit happier with the taste of the sweets they needed to find in the rice krispies - although they did need to find them with their teeth and most had forgotted that their faces were covered in treacle so by the end they looked as though they had grown beards of cereal!

Welcome to the Beaver's website...
Hello, and welcome to the Beaver Section of the 4th Glasgow's Blogspot.
I'm Anne, the Beaver Scout Leader and am ably assisted by the Assistant Beaver Scout Leader also called Anne - make it easier to remember our names. At present we also have two young helpers Allan (a Scout) and Alexandra (a Guide)... they're both working towards service badges. As you can see we like the letter A!!!!
A big thanks to Spud for getting this blogspot up and running. We hope to keep it as up to date as possible, so you can keep up to date with what is going on and the things we have planned.
